Jodi Vaughan, a household name in New Zealand from the 80s TV show ‘That’s Country,’ boasts 10 studio albums, including gold and platinum hits. She joins forces with Aly Cook, an acclaimed, award-winning songwriter and ARIA Charting artist with her Australian recorded 2019 Album ‘Caught in the Middle. Together and individually, their music consistently tops charts in Australia and New Zealand, fostering a devoted fanbase. Their recent self-written and produced album, Downunder Girls, soared to #1 on the NZ Official Album Charts, proving their continued relevance and immense appeal.

Sisters in Country will host and perform at an artist showcase Hands Across the Tasman sponsored by Key2 Artist promotions at the West Tamworth League Club – The Event Centre (58 Phillip Street, West Tamworth NSW 2340) on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, at 1:30 PM. This dynamic collaboration promises an enchanting performance filled with beloved country tunes and their incredible original songs. The performance will be further elevated by the addition of Marian Burns, whose exceptional fiddle playing, recognized with ‘Best Fiddler as a Soloist’ and a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from the Golden Fiddle Awards at Tamworth, is sure to captivate. Expect an unforgettable blend of rich female harmonies and “truly hot fiddle playing that will get your toes tapping.”

Comprised of Cook, 61, and Vaughan, 75, the Sisters in Country duo proudly celebrate their seasoned artistry and enduring passion in an industry often perceived as youth-driven. They wholeheartedly defy expectations, proving that “talent and authenticity only deepen with age, and they are truly masters of their craft.” They even have a playful rule for selecting guest female performers: “The rule,” jokes Vaughan, “is you must be over 50 to be invited as a guest.” Cook adds, “And we don’t mean kilos!”—a taste of the wit you can expect during their show.’
