Camille Trail, Raechel Whitchurch & Riley Catherall

Golden guitar nominees Camille Trail & Raechel Whitchurch along with indie folk sensation Riley Catherall – three extraordinary singer-songwriters in one intimate show.

Camille Trail is a 23 year old singer, songwriter and cattle farmer from Central Queensland.  She’s the only artist that producer Shane Nicholson ever worked with who paid for the recording of an album by selling a couple of bulls. Her debut album ‘River of Sins’ – a sultry melting pot of country, folk, blues and gospel – was released in August 2021 on Compass Bros / Universal Music Australia.  Camille was nominated in the Best New Talent category at the 2022 Golden Guitar Awards and in the Country category at the 2022 Queensland Music Awards.

“River of Sins announces the 22-year-old Central Queensland singer-songwriter as one of the nation’s most striking new voices.” Andrew McMillen, The Australian

“It’s pretty obvious that the 22-year-old Trail is something very special. The sonic palate is varied, nuanced and never remotely dull. Then there’s Trail’s voice which is sublime. And of course, at the end of the day it’s all about the songs – and Trail is a perceptive wordsmith.”

Raechel Whitchurch was born and raised on country music. Some might say that her life reads like a country song – from her parents’ shotgun wedding and her childhood spent living in a caravan, to her dobro-playing husband and their babies named after long-gone country music stars – it’s hardly surprising that she ended up singing her songs for a living. Raechel started playing piano when she was 5, and then traded it in at 8 for a mandolin. Guitar and banjo soon followed, and so did the songs. Songwriting became something she simply had to do, and many nights her parents would find her in her room long after her bedtime, lights dimmed, pen and guitar in hand. Raechel’s debut album ‘Finally Clear’ was released in April 2021. It debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Artists Country Chart and received a Golden Guitar nomination for Best New Talent. A follow up album is planned for mid 2023.

“Raechel is a perceptive, thoughtful songwriter who deftly crafts her music to create songs that are personal yet universal – the mark of a true songwriter” – Sue Jarvis, Capital News

“This album is full of songs that just feel like someone who understands themselves, but also know how to write a really catchy song” – Bernard Zuel, ABC Radio Sydney

Riley Catherall is a Singer-Songwriter based in Melbourne whose graceful trajectory into the Australian Alt-Country Music world has not gone unnoticed. Riley has built a credible status as a one of the country’s most promising songwriters through his poetic sincerity and alluring live shows. In 2022 Riley played shows throughout Australia and in Norway, Sweden, England & Scotland. His most recent single ‘Bark at the Moon’ has enjoyed impressive streaming numbers on indie folk playlists around the world.

“An artist in consummate control of his craft.” Chris Familton, Post To Wire
