Planned Deliverables of Courts Redevelopment

The upgrade will include 9 hard courts of championship standard acrylic (including one show court), and 4 sand-filled courts made of championship standard synthetic grass. Landscaping, signage and paved walkways are all part of the proposed improvements.
The surrounding fencing and event lighting will be brand new, with upgraded car park lighting to increase safety. Spectator viewing areas and sun-safe shelters will be added, as well as a community play space.

The Courts @ East club house will undergo a complete renovation to include multi-purpose community meeting rooms and office spaces, increased storage space and kiosk facilities, plus full café and restaurant amenities.

July 2022

Construction began in July of 2022, after being held back due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the delay, we are still very much committed to the redevelopment which will see 9 international standard courts at the ready for our community, which would allow us to host a national or international ranking tennis event. Currently, the only venue in NSW capable of this is Sydney Olympic Park.

November 2022

As of November, 2022, the courts have seen significant progress. With 3 brand new courts completed and the concrete slab poured for a 4th, the vision is coming to life. As construction continues, the space really begins to take shape with the view of the city and mountains providing the perfect backdrop.

March 2023

Demolition of the Club House interior has begun, with the entire space being gutted to make way for a brand new design. The finished renovations will leave us with a family friendly venue, with both a café and restaurant, plus an outdoor balcony seating area with a view of the city.

June 2023

"As we move through the tender phase, demolition is nearing completion to allow pre-works to commence which will ensure a blank canvas for the trades to follow. We look forward in continuing to share progress with you along the way, as we work towards recreating a space that can be enjoyed by families and tennis enthusiasts."

August 2023

A few words from the Project Manager:
"Our team has been working hard through those cold winter mornings with various carpentry works and the continuation of demolition. Design work for the new carpark is also currently at hand, which will provide 23 on-site car parks to accompany the clubhouse and tennis court facilities."
