The Wests Entertainment Group proudly presents the Scully Park Regional Sporting Precinct - formally known as Scully Park No. 2 Oval.
The sporting precinct includes a state-of-the-art playing field laser levelled and turfed with Legend couch grass. The playing surface combines a sand/soil blend, sub-surface drainage and underground irrigation, with an all-weather surface able to accommodate wet-weather games.
In addition of the playing field, is the covered stadium with seating for about 700 spectators.
The stadium also includes kiosk and bar facilities, players dressing sheds with direct access to the field, toilet amenities and officials/media/corporate boxes on the top floor.
Located on the western side of the ground, the stadium gives spectators the best possible views while the eastern side of the ground sees the development of a hill which gives general-admission spectators a comfortable spot to view sport. At capacity it is 11,000 spectators.
LED lighting system has been installed as part of this redevelopment. The new system is safe, cost effective and efficient and has a low urban impact on neighbours.
The Scully Park Regional Sporting Precinct is pedestrian access only, which ensures the area is a safe facility.
The precinct has successfully showcased several major sporting events including NRL round matches, A-League Football, Â National Rugby Championships, as well as some smaller marquee events and luncheons for Melbourne Cup and charity fundraisers.
